Moulds and matrices

On the sector of Moulds and matrices are used products characterized by good mechanical resistance, tearing strenght and dimensional stability, low linear shrinkage, easy demoulding and excellent reproduction.

 

Elastomers silicone rubbers and polyurethane rubbers (flexible moulds) and resins epoxy resins, polyurethane resins, polyester resins, acrylic resins (rigid moulds) are suitable to be used in the moulds and matrices sector.



EPOXY RESINS for moulds and matrices

Pourable epoxy systems, specific for rigid moulds for vacuum thermoforming or for the realization of rigid moulds for flexible polyurethane and/or wood imitation articles. Bi-component epoxy pourable resins pre-filled with aluminium characterized by low linear shrinkage, excellent workableness and high thermic resistance.

KEMIEPOX CM641 Pouring epoxy system pre-filled with metallic inert materials, characterized by high hardness (tool workable), excellent thermic resistance and conductivity, low thermal expansion. Used for the building of thermo resistant moulds where it is required tool workable and excellent thermic conductivity.  
KEMIEPOX MC 183 BLUE Bicomponent epoxy system filled with abrasive inert materials. Hard, strong, excellent mechanical and thermic properties. Not tool workable. Used for foundry patterns, moulds for stretchforming. Applicable by simple pouring or by cavity pouring.
KEMIEPOX EL BLACK Bicomponent black pouring epoxy system, characterized by excellent chemical, mechanical and electric resistance. Suitable for the production of foundry pattern and matrices, insulation of electric and acoustic equipments to avoid the dispersion of sound. Can be applied for high thickness also.
KEMIEPOX REC 116 Pouring epoxy system pre-filled with abrasive inert materials. Used for PU foams flexible and rigid (imitation wood). Moulds also of large size.


EPOXY GEL COATS for moulds and matrices

Range of epoxy gel-coats easy to use by brush, good spreading and excellent definition, to obtain surfaces characterized by resistance to abrasion, temperature and chemical attacks.

KEMIEPOX 1001 Used for moulds RIM, high resistance on the edges max temperature 120°C.
KEMIEPOX 1004 Scrape resistant.
KEMIEPOX 1005 Chemical and thermic resistance (160°C).
KEMIEPOX 1007 Bright aspect, polishing and fixing.


POLYURETHANE RESINS for moulds and matrices

Product Description Sheet
RESIN PU 087 (HARDENER PUH-887) Special bi-component pourable polyurethane resin. Characterized by low viscosity, high thermic resistance (up to 110°C), low linear shrinkage, quick demoulding, excellent definition. Suitable for producing demonstrative prototypes, foundry patterns (where it is required excellent wear resistance, dimensional stability and high precision), negatives, serial poured hand-made articles, copy models, blister, pilot vacuum thermoforming moulds or similar applications. The resin is pigmentable and highly filleable (using the charge AL 3 H it is possible to obtain low specific weight products). Available standard catalyst for thin layers and slow catalyst for relevant masses.
RESIN PUC 097 (HARDENER PUH-1097) Bi-component polyurethane resin applicable by pouring, pre-filled with special charges, tool workable. Characterized by no linear shrinkage (<0,05%), high scraping and thermic resistance (up to 115°C). Used for the realization of foundry patterns, copy models, moulds and prototype, pilot vacuum thermoforming moulds, in modelling sector (realization of models in scale of cars, ships, airplane, toy soldiers, small objects). Available standard catalyst for thin layers and slow catalyst for relevant masses.


POLYURETHANE RUBBERS for for molds and matrices

Polyurethane pourable rubbers characterized by high fluidity, excellent mechanical resistance and no linear shrinkage (TR series). Suitable for the realization of variable hardness moulds (used) in many industrial sectors, in art works, in building etc… Hardness variable from 20 to 75 shore A.

SILICONE RUBBERS for moulds and matrices

Two-components silicone rubbers characterized by high elasticity, tearing strenght, dimensional stability and excellent reproduction. Suitable to realize flexible moulds and matrices, for serial reproduction of: resin articles (polyester , epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic), polyurethane elastomers, natural and synthetic wax, plaster, cement, ceramic, low melting point alloy, imitation wood. Available in different hardnesses: from 10 to 60 Shore A. The silicone rubbers curing by poli-addiction process are characterized by no linear shrinkage.

SILIMOLD AL 10 Soft silicone (10 shore A). Complex moulds for serial making of small sized resin objects (polyester, polyurethane and epoxy resin), plaster, wax, etc…Moulds for lost-wax foundries. Suitable for "glove peeling" delivery. Moulds for technical articles.
SILIMOLD AL 20 Medium hardness silicone (20 shore A). High mechanical properties, suitable for the preparation of moulds with a considerable number of undercuts: reproduction of bronze statues (artistic foundry), serial reproduction of complex hand-made resin articles (polyester, polyurethane and epoxy resin), in plaster, natural and synthetic wax, cement (ex. statues, decorative garden articles, decorative candles, prototypes, decorative pottery, rosettes, cornices, imitation wood friezes, etc…). SILIMOLD AL 25 Medium hardness silicone (25 shore A). Suitable for making larger sized matrices than the ones obtainable with Silimold AL 10 and Silimold AL 20, the applicative sectors and the materials which can be used for objects reproduction are the same.
SILIMOLD AL 40 Medium-high hardness silicone (40 shore A). Suitable for the reproduction of large-sized matrices.
SILIMOLD HT 60 High hardness silicone (60 shore A). Fluid. Owing to its high temperature resistance it is suitable for building flexible simple moulds for the reproduction of small sized low-melting point alloy objects, lead or tin.
SILIMOLD ADT 05 Low hardness silicone (8 shore A). COMPLEX MOULDS – Paramedical sector, heel inserts and inserts.
SILIMOLD AD 12 Low hardness silicone (12 shore A). COMPLEX MOULDS – Prototypes and resin, plaster, wax objects. Pad printing.
SILIMOLD AD 20 Medium hardness silicone (20 shore A). COMPLEX MOULDS – Prototypes and resin, plaster, cement objects. Pad printing.
SILIMOLD AD 30 Medium hardness silicone (30 shore A). COMPLEX MOULDS – Prototypes and resin, plaster, wax, pottery objects. Pad printing .
SILIMOLD ADT 40 Medium-high hardness silicone (40shore A). Transparent, high mechanical properties, particularly suitable for making complex moulds in the field of quick prototyping and for making moulds to produce resin articles.
SILIMOLD AD 110 Low hardness silicone (10 shore A). SIMPLE MOULDS – Pad printing .  
SILIMOLD AD 130 Medium hardness silicone (30 shore A). COMPLEX MOULDS – Prototypes and resin, plaster, cement, pottery objects. Pad printing.  
SILIMOLD AD 150 High hardness silicone (50 shore A). Good mechanical properties. Suitable for making moulds in the field of artistic pottery and in the manufacture of very high precision resin or plaster products.
SILIMOLD BL 22 Medium-low hardness silicone (16-18 shore A). Suitable for making simple moulds for footwear.
SILIMOLD BLM 12 Low hardness silicone (8 shore A). Fluid, suitable for making simple moulds for footwear.
SILIMOLD BVL 22 Low hardness silicone (8-10 shore A). Very fluid, suitable for making simple moulds for footwear.
SILIMOLD BLD 26 Medium hardness silicone (25 shore A). Suitable for making simple moulds for footwear. Good mechanical properties and good dimensional stability in the reproduction of medium-large-sized products.
SILIMOLD BLD D37 Hard silicone (35 shore A). Suitable for making moulds for footwear, good dimensional stability also in the reproduction of medium-large-sized products.  


LATEX


Product Description
60% NATURAL LATEX 60% natural latex. It can be stored for six months in the original sealed containers kept in a cool and dry place (temperature from 5 to 40 ° C).
PRE-VULCANIZED LATEX Liquid spreading products suitable for the realization of prosthesis, masks, make up and special effects for cinema, television, theatre, moulds and matrices.
LATEX-PEEL Natural polymer base paste, not flammable used for realization of different kind of surfaces (floorings, windowsills, showers, baths, etc…). LATEX PEEL after curing forms a film to protect from crashes and scratching. The film can be easily removed by peeling.
LATEXFOAM Natural latex based compound stabilized with ammonia and with primary foaming.
